Trying To Switch To Alsa i hate pulseaudio.

hi, i have ubuntu 9.10 32bit, and iv'e recently had some problems with pulseuadio, i have tried multiple times to switch to alsa, but i can't get it working.
don't know if this will help or not but it can never hurt:
