Hi how are you,

My problem is as follows, thanks for any help in advance.

I was running a Spybot check and left my computer to finish the process.

Generally when I leave my computer for about 15 minutes it goes into a sleep mode of some sort and only wakes up when you move the mouse and click on “log in” as it must log me out in the process.

I went back to the computer after bout 30 minutes to find that the computer responded by thinking but the screen flashed white and lines then cut out and did not proceed to the log in button. The monitor stills switched on and off and tells me that it cannot find a signal. Could this be the video card corrupted by the Spybot check somehow?

Another point that also concerns me is now when I switch the computer on (I have to turn off by holding power button for a while so not properly shutting down), it sounds as though it thinks for a brief moment then goes into a low hum with the thinking light staying on continuously.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
