We meet again marco :)

A few questions to give me a bit more insight on the situation.

1. Is this a PC at home? Do you have a proxy set-up at home?
2. Can you access sites like Google?

Regards,
Olrik

Hi Orlik

This is Joe, Gerrys son, It is my laptop that i am having problems with, no we dont have a proxy, i can access google, but i am also having problems with the net, it keeps redirecting me to other sites, so i am thinking that i have some sort of virus that is trying to stop me updating my anti virus?

Regards Joe

I Suspect that you have malware on your machine. I suggest you take your log to the malware doctors found here.
Please make sure that you read this before posting anything in the malware forum.

If you're still having problems after the malware doctors declare your log clean feel free to post back here and we'll help you to the best of our knowledge! :)

Regards,
Olrik

Certain infection formatting would be a good idea but not always if it is fixable. Format is the last option we go to but sometimes a format is needed.

This topic is almost a year so we probably won't hear back from him, James Madison. You might want to look at the date the topic was started next time.
