This guide pertains to the removal of AntiSpyCheck (Rogue Security Application).

AntiSpyCheck is a fake security application that produces persistent popups, notifications and fake scan results as an attempt to make the user purchase their software. The program does not attempt to scan for real threats and nothing reported by the program is real.

The following removal guide should be followed if AntiSpyCheck has been installed on your computer. It is highly recommended that you post to our Malware Removal Forum after following this guide so that we can make sure this and any other infections have been removed.

Please read Malware Removal Guides - Information and Guidelines before following any of our guides.

================

Step 1:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked (unless there is something there that you know is legitimate), and click Remove Selected.
  • When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location, where you will be able to find it again.

Step 2:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Step 3:

We recommend that you now post a OTL and GMER logs to our Malware Removal Forum to complete the cleaning process.
>> Before you Post <<

Please include the results of the MalwareBytes Anti-Malware scan as well, so that we can see what had been removed. The logs can also be found here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt
or
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt

Please post any questions or comments about this guide as a reply to this topic. Any further Malware problems should be posted in the Malware Removal Forum.

Hello.

It may be best if you start a topic in the Malware Removal forum then if you suspect malware may still be there.

With Regards,
