You all know that dealing with viruses, trojans, worms and spyware hard job to do.
even specialists sometimes can go mad while cleaning their computer from these nasty things. Just remember this; there is no perfect protection.Even a most secure "security suite" can miss/can't delete some of these viruses, trojan, worms or spywares on the internet. So what should we do? Installing a second anti-virus,anti-spyware or firewall can cause technical problems, low system source, and even blue screen of death. But we can use a second opinion from another tools to be sure if our system is clean. What are they? Online scanners,on-demand scanners (which means they does not include an on-access real-time scanner) There are many online scanners,on-demand scanners on the web.But I will give few (well-known and really working) of them as an example. They will be your security suites side-kick. Online Scanners; F-Secure online scanner (http://support.f-secure.com/ols/start.html) Bitdefender online scanner (http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html) Trendmicro House Call (http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/) why these ones as an example? Cause they can also clean whatever they found and cause of high detection rates. On-demand Scanners; a-squared free 3.5 (http://download6.emsisoft.com/a2FreeSetup.exe) Clamwin Antivirus 0.93 (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/clamwin/clamwin-0.93-setup.exe) EMCO Malware Destroyer 4.1.5 (http://www.emco.is/download/malwaredestroyer/malwaredestroyersetup.exe) SUPERAntiSpyware Free 4.0.1154 (http://downloads2.superantispyware.com/downloads/SUPERAntiSpyware.exe) Ad-Aware 2007 free 7.0.2.7 (http://download.betanews.com/download/965718306/aaw2007.exe) Enjoy the safe ways of the web.As you know already, don't open/start unknown mails, programs. Still here and want more protection? If you are using Internet Explorer, you can use IE7Pro,which is a useful add-on with lots of features and add-blocker. Or you can use a different browser. This would be better in my opinion.Cause we all know IE has many vulnerabilities. Firefox and Opera are good choices. (Safari lacks anti-phishing features and still more way to go for windows version) Tell me if this article usefull, and I will be back with more detailed articles and safety tools. |
