In light of the new forums added. I was thinking of having a in the Fun Stuff section (not Open area) to have a forum devoted to polls only.
A forum dedicated to gathering opinions/data comparing such things like hardware brands, software applications of all kinds, tools, utilities, etc. Answering questions like, "Which E-mail client do you use?" Or, "Which IM application have you dumped in the past?" "Which one of the following have you had terrible customer service with in the last year?" "Which mp3 player do you own or want?"

I can think a ton of these. What I always thought was interesting was just how many users buy things out of popular name, quality, warranties, recommendations, price, expert opinions, experience, or just because the salesperson was nice and took their advice.
I would think polls can be useful to what your buying or for building websites. "Do you hate sites that have Flash?"
And many things just that you would like to know the answers for.
Heck, they don't even have to be PC related. They can be social. "Which of these do you tend to do?" a. bite nails b. chew your lips c. chew your pencil d. fidget or shake, tap with your hands or feet

I think lots of these could be helpful, interesting, or just plain fun.
